Canal Oriented Development Dissertation Survey

As part of a dissertation in the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning at Arizona State University this survey asks questions about how and what is important for the implementation of Canal Oriented Development (COD) in the Phoenix region.  Phoenix has over 181 miles of canals crossing through the metropolitan area helping to sustain the area’s way of life. The canal system which is designed for the movement of water from reservoir to home also potentially presents the unique opportunity for creating areas of recreation and nodal density, yet much of the canal system in this regard is unused, underused or abused.
