To attend a school in your district of choice, an Intrerdistrict Attendance Transfer request must be approved by your dedicated school district and the Department of Child Welfare and Attendance at MUSD.

How to Obtain an IDA from your school district

1. Identify your dedicated school district based on your home address

2. Contact your dedicated school district for an Intrerdistrict Attendance Transfer (IDA) request form and ask about their process.

3. Follow and complete their process.

4. Submit your approved IDA along with this application

The MUSD Online Academy is designed for students and families who are more comfortable learning at home. Students will be working directly with MUSD teachers to meet grade level standards in partnership with parents. The curriculum is project based in grades K-8 and will require time and attention from adults in the home for students to be successful.

Our program is held to attendance protocols by the State of California. (Live interaction with teachers, time spent working on the platform and work completed daily).

Online Academy will be located at the

New Vision Campus, 4726 McCuen Ave. Stockton, in Weston Ranch.

This application does not guarantee enrollment. You will be contacted by our office to complete an enrollment packet once your child is accepted into MUSD Online Academy.

Acceptance and enrollment are based on available space.

(Students with IEP will take additional time for a response. Please provide a copy of the IEP with your application.)

Our program is held to attendance protocols by the State of California. Live interaction with teachers, time spent working on the platform and work completed daily. If students are not participating fully, we will work with families to ensure adherence to the requirements and/or meet to discuss appropriate placement. *

I have reviewed the information included on our website regarding Edmentum Calvert Learning K-8 and/or Edmentum Courseware. *

I understand that by choosing this option for schooling in 2023-2024, I will be one of the most important pieces of my child's education. For K - 8, but especially, K - 3, I WILL BE COMMITTING TO WORKING WITH MY CHILD FOR 3-5 HOURS DAILY. I will be assigned the role of a learning guide and will support my child's learning in addition to their virtual teacher. *

Notice:

Students will have scheduled daily meetings with their virtual teacher/class. Students will need to attend in-person to the assigned Online Academy School site periodically for assessments, support, and enrichment (Scheduled through parents). Students and teachers will be required to adhere to all COVID-19 safety protocols for the in-person sessions.

The Online Academy curriculum is web-based and designed to allow students to work on their own schedules from a computer with an internet connection and a standard web browser.

CA Senate Bill 98 requires the following minimum minutes per grade level:
