ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for an internship scholarship, a student must:
• Be a currently enrolled student at the institute;
• Must have successfully completed at least 80 credit points with the institute (advanced standing is not included towards credit points completed);
• Must have achieved at least a credit average at the time of application;
• Have no outstanding debt to the institute.
The student may also have to meet other eligibility criteria as required by the third party provider responsible for arranging student internship placements.
PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION:
1. Fill in the application form and ensure you meet the eligibility criteria
2. Students who meet the required eligibility criteria can apply by submitting:
• A curriculum vitae (CV) with the application; and
• A statement of purpose outlining: Why the candidate believes they are the right person for the internship scholarship; and What the candidate hopes to achieve from the internship scholarship.
Eligible candidates will be invited for an interview with a selection panel made up of staff from the institute. Eligible candidates may need to undergo a second round of interviews with the third party provider responsible for arranging student internship placements. Candidates will be notified via email if they are successful and what the required next steps are. Candidates that are unsuccessful will be notified via email and can re-apply when an internship scholarship becomes available if they continue to meet the eligibility criteria.
If you are awarded a scholarship of $500, you need to deposit the rest $500 and agree to complete the internship in the time agreed to with PE. Unless you receive special consideration.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
The statement of purpose should outline:
• Why the candidate believes they are the right person for the internship scholarship; and
• What the candidate hopes to achieve from the internship scholarship.
