Call for Resumes - Anticipated USAID Bangladesh Feed the Future Water Management Activity

DAI is pursuing an anticipated Bangladesh Feed the Future Water Management Activity (WMA), funded by USAID. This program is envisioned to promote sustainable management and utilization of water to address Bangladesh’s interconnected water-related problems. This opportunity is also anticipated to involve a variety of activities requiring different specializations to support the Activity’s needs during implementation.

DAI seeks national consultants interested in being considered for long-term positions in the following technical, operational and program management areas:

  • Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)
  • Watershed Management
  • Irrigation Management Systems including climate-smart agricultural practices and water-saving technologies
  • Food Security
  • Livelihoods Improvement
  • Water Governance/Policy and regulator enforcement
  • Water Resources Management
  • Nature-based Solutions
  • Early Warning Systems/Resilient Technology
  • Climate Change
  • Infrastructure engineering (design, planning and implementation)
  • Gender Equity and Social Inclusion
  • Community Engagement
  • Institutional Capacity Building
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning
  • Project Finance and Operations

General/Basic Qualifications Sought:

  • 9+ years of relevant technical experience in one or more areas above
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, an advanced degree is preferred. Engineers must have a professionally registered degree in their field by an accredited Bangladeshi body.
  • 4 years managing teams in the implementation and delivery of donor programs; experience in USAID project management preferred
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team
  • Strong team leadership and team mentorship qualities
  • Advanced language skills (spoken and written) in English
  • Fluency in Bengali and/or other indigenous language of Bangladesh
