SIPA Registration Request Form

PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING:
 
Post Change of Program Period: For requests to drop NON-SIPA courses plesae submit a hard copy completed registration adjustment form in person to OSA.

THIS FORM SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR ANY TRANSACTION WHICH CAN BE PERFORMED VIA SSOL.  
Additionally requests which fall into any of the categories below will not be processed.  
  • Grade option change requests for full semester courses or for short courses which end prior to the pass/fail deadline. Requests to change to letter grade or pass/fail for these courses are submitted via SSOL

  • Requests by non-SIPA students to register closed SIPA courses. Courses open to non-SIPA students are available for registration via SSOL. In the instance that an "open" course is not open via SSOL this form can be used.
 
NOTE:
  • Transactions submitted by 3pm will be processed within two (2) business days. If we are unable to process your transaction you will be notified via e-mail, unless it falls into one of the categories noted above.

  • Students will be notified via email only if OSA is unable to process your request. Otherwise please monitor your schedule for the requested change.
 
General Information
 
Before submitting this form, please ensure that there are no schedule conflicts and that you will not be in excess of the maximum points allowed.  
  • Please refer to the SIPA academic calendar for important dates and deadlines.

  • Students can drop short courses any time prior to the day of the second class session. For short courses that are dropped after this time a "W" will be posted.

  • Permission to take a course for “Registration Credit” (Audit) is granted by the instructor. Students do not need to submit an add/drop form to change the grading option to "R" credit.

SIPA students may register for courses at other schools throughout Columbia University  Each School has it's own registration requirements and procedures, please make sure to follow all instructions carefully. Students must adhere to SIPA drop/withdrawal deadlines for courses registered at any Columbia University school. For schools not listed in the drop-down below, please visit http://bulletin.columbia.edu/sipa/registration/#crossregistrationtext for more information.
This does not appear to be the correct form for you. This form is for SIPA student registration, and for non-SIPA students who wish to register a SIPA course. Please contact the University Registrar's Office for information on add/drop. 
Please review the cross-registration procedures on the SIPA registration webpage before submitting a request to regsiter a non-SIPA course.
