Join Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy for our inagural Citizen Diplomacy Certification Bootcamp on June 3 and 4, 2022!
This Certification Bootcamp primarily caters to individuals at the beginning of their careers who are looking to diversify their skills and experience in the field of international relations.
While this course is open to anyone interested in world affairs and diplomacy, the Citizen Diplomacy Certification’s target audience who want to expand their resume to include international relations knowledge.
In order for the United States to be accurately reflected in international affairs and international exchange, we must draw from the talent and rich diversity in all corners of our community. To build a pipeline of globally-minded professionals who represent Utah, the Citizen Diplomacy Certification strives to discover and promote a generation of diverse leaders through unique education, professional development, and mentorship opportunities that will advance careers in political science, public diplomacy, international relations, and the larger international affairs field like non-governmental organizations.
Professional Development: Participants can anticipate developing their skills through critical thinking, teamwork, collaboration, problem-solving, persuasive communication, and global competence.
Education: Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of how to take the theory of political science, international relations, public administration, and other fields and apply it to current case studies.
Mentorship: Participants will network and learn from Utah’s top leaders who work in international relations. These leaders may include elected officials, business owners, government officials, nonprofit leaders, and civic activists.
This Bootcamp program is provided free or charge, and will be hosted in-person in Murray, Utah.
