Clinical Coordinator- ICU RFT 7a-3p

GENERAL SUMMARY:  

Works as department coordinator with staff, performs functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients on unit during shift. Responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment and for promotion of collaboration with all members of health care team. Clinical Coordinator contributes to performance appraisals of personnel on assigned shift and performs management duties in absence of Nurse Manager.

EDUCATION - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama. Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or health related field.

EXPERIENCE - Two years of nursing experience preferred.

Director Health Information (HIM)- RFT

GENERAL SUMMARY:  

Plans, directs and evaluates activities of HIM Department for Coosa Valley Medical Center. Maintains effective relationships with peers and Medical Staff. Ensures the privacy of health information and organizes functions to support a complete and accurate medical record. Recognizes the importance of the HIM function in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).

EDUCATION – Advanced degree in Health Information Management, Health Information Technology, or Medical Records Administration from an approved college or university. RHIA and/or RHIT Certification in Health Information Management field are required. Inpatient and Outpatient hospital coding certification is a plus.  

EXPERIENCE - Three to five years' of training and experience in Health information management required.

Director, Preoperative Services/DSU RFT

EDUCATION – Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed by State of Alabama required.  Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

EXPERIENCE – Three to five years experience in surgical nursing required.  Minimum three years of management experience preferred.

Respiratory Therapist - RFT Respiratory 7p-7a **Sign on Bonus**
Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:  

Administer more complex respiratory therapy procedures to general and critical care patients under minimal supervision and according to established department policies, procedures and standards.  Makes assessment of patients' respiratory status, administers prescribed therapies and monitors patient response to such therapies.  May oversee and direct work of lower classified personnel and assists in training and orientation of new Respiratory Therapist or students as requested.

EXPERIENCE-Requires knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pulmonary physics, pulmonary patho physiology, advanced respiratory care, mathematics, blood gas chemistry and pharmacology at a level generally acquired through completion of a two year AMA approved program in Respiratory Therapy.

EDUCATION - Must have passed certified (CRT) and be licensed by Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy. Approximately six to twelve months' of progressively more responsible related work experience necessary to gain a complete understanding of respiratory therapy principles and procedures in order to provide assistance in resolution of difficult work related problems, orient and train new employees and provide technical advice on performing therapies.  Analytical ability necessary to review and evaluate various laboratory results, conduct respiratory assessments, and properly operate technical respiratory equipment.  Interpersonal skills necessary to explain therapy and goals to patients and family members and to communicate effectively with nursing personnel, physicians and other hospital personnel.

Ultrasound Technologist-PRN Temporary (Call-time)

Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:  

Performs and records ultrasound diagnostic tests to obtain information about internal organs, fluid accumulations, masses or development of fetuses for use in diagnosis of disease, study of malfunction of organs, prenatal examination of fetus and placenta, etc. under general supervision and following established policies and procedures. Ensures quality of ultrasound test and records results.

EDUCATION - Knowledge of anatomy and physiology at a level normally acquired through completion of two years post high school training in an allied health science such as nursing or radio logic technology and knowledge of ultrasound techniques and procedures as generally acquired through six months to one year related training.    

EXPERIENCE - Approximately three to six months' on-the-job training necessary to acquire efficiency in operating sonographic equipment, learn hospital and departmental policies and procedures, and the like. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to explain procedures topatients and allay apprehensions and to discuss test results with physicians. Analytical skills necessary to effectively detect Pathologies based on knowledge of physiological cause and effect of diseases. Understand radiation safety procedures.
