GENERAL SUMMARY:   

Collects, analyzes and records demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data accurately from multiple sources and obtains other information and signatures necessary for scheduling, registration and billing.

Screens effectively for compliance with payor requirements for medical necessity and pre-certification and completes third party eligibility and benefit verification to ensure accurate payment is secured.

Interacts in a customer focused and compassionate manner to ensure patients and their representatives' needs are met and they understand hospital's revenue cycle expectations, including resolution of personal liabilities through various payment options.

EDUCATION - High school education or equivalent with specialized knowledge obtained through high school or up to six months' vocational education required. Ability to read, understand written and verbal instructions and interpret medical technology.   Ability to operate various office machines, computer and software packages required. Good keyboarding skills required. Complies with all missions, values and regulatory compliance requirements.     

EXPERIENCE - Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with physicians, patients, family members and third party payers required.

Directs and supervises operations of Purchasing Department and Central Supply to include inventory control and case cart. Coordinate ordering supplies and equipment necessary for smooth and efficient operations of Coosa Valley Medical Center.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required.    

EXPERIENCE – Minimum three years’ experience in a purchasing/material management setting. Experience with GPO preferred. Minimum two years' supervisory experience. Accounting and/or Inventory Control preferred.

Perform various duties and routine technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients under close supervision. Pharmacy Technician- Pharmacy Services PRN Shift Varies
Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:  

A pharmacy technician assists a pharmacist in the process of filling a prescription. The technician will perform pharmaceutical care tasks under the control and guidance of a licensed pharmacist. A technician must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy and obtain continuing education hours pursuant with that registration yearly.

EDUCATION - High school education or equivalent required. Ability to read and write, prepare and interpret written instructions and make arithmetical calculations. Require basic typing ability of 20 wpm to access data in pharmacy computer system. Certification as a pharmacy technician required.    

EXPERIENCE - Six months' of continuous experience in a pharmacy position with I.V. admixture service experience. Ability to provide guidance and training to other pharmacy technicians and students. Registered with Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.

Respiratory Therapist- RFT 7p-7a
Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:  

Administer more complex respiratory therapy procedures to general and critical care patients under minimal supervision and according to established department policies, procedures and standards. Makes assessment of patients' respiratory status, administers prescribed therapies and monitors patient response to such therapies. May oversee and direct work of lower classified personnel and assists in training and orientation of new Respiratory Therapist or students as requested.

EDUCATION - Requires knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pulmonary physics, pulmonary patho physiology, advanced respiratory care, mathematics, blood gas chemistry and pharmacology at a level generally acquired through completion of a four year AMA approved program in Respiratory Therapy. Must have passed registered (RRT) examination and be licensed by Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy.    

EXPERIENCE - Approximately six to twelve months' of progressively more responsible related work experience necessary to gain a complete understanding of respiratory therapy principles and procedures in order to provide assistance in resolution of difficult work related problems, orient and train new employees and provide technical advice on performing therapies. Analytical ability necessary to review and evaluate various laboratory results, conduct respiratory assessments, and properly operate technical respiratory equipment. Interpersonal skills necessary to explain therapy and goals to patients and family members and to communicate effectively with nursing personnel, physicians and other hospital personnel.
