About the Award
The NJHS National Adviser of the Year Award has been established to recognize outstanding NJHS advisers for their leadership and commitment to the purposes of the National Junior Honor Society. While the award does single out individuals, one purpose of the award is to highlight the contributions made by all NJHS advisers. The honoree will receive a plaque and $500.
- Principals at a school with an active NJHS chapter may nominate their NJHS adviser. All nominees must have been an NJHS adviser for at least three (3) years.
- Nomination forms can be submitted via this online form beginning on December 1, 2019.
Upon being chosen for this award, nominees will need to submit a W-9 form to the national office in order to receive the $500 award check.
- Nominations will be accepted between December 1, 2019, and February 15, 2020. Nominations submitted by the deadline will be considered. A committee will select one winner and an alternate.
