Time: 7pm - 8pm ET (Pre-game at 6:45pm)
In the United States, overdose deaths from opioids have nearly tripled in the last 15 years. In 2016 alone they claimed more than 30,000 lives. Gather your group for a special live online video event from the American Chemical Society featuring medical experts, policymakers, and chemists to discover why this problem has become so widespread and how the power of chemistry can be used to fight the rising tide of addiction.

*This event is aimed at collegiate-level students and above, though it may be appropriate for certain high school groups.  Contact the ACSPIB team at multimedia@acs.org if you have any questions about the event content.

ACS Program-in-a-Box brings a ready-made event right to your doorstep, featuring:

- An interactive live online broadcast including Q&A with chemistry experts.

- A box of ACS resources* to help you easily prepare for this event.

- Join thousands of young chemists around the world on social media using #ACSPIB.

- ACS Program-in-a-Box Facebook Group - Private group for ACSPIB hosts/group leaders to help each other and get exclusive updates from ACS about this event.

*Physical box kits can be sent to active ACS groups with 6 or more members at non-PO Box addresses in the United States, Mexico, Canada, and US territories.  All groups can download and print the same handouts, guides, and ACS resources found in the box from www.acs.org/pib. Contact the ACSPIB team at multimedia@acs.org if you have questions about your shipping elgibility.
