Starting from 2023/24, Malvern will become an all-through school. Pupils studying at Malvern College Pre-school (MCPS) for a minimum of two full academic years prior to entering Prep 1 at MCHK will be promoted to Prep 1 at Malvern College Hong Kong (MCHK), subject to meeting the admissions requirements. 

We understand that transition from preschool to Prep is an important milestone in a child's education journey. That's why we are committed to ensuring that our pupils have the best possible start. To achieve this, our academic teams are working closely together in different areas, including language development.

At MCHK, the language of instruction is English and Chinese is taught as a second language. While English is the medium for teaching and learning, we offer a strong, and rigorous Chinese Curriculum programme for children to develop their Chinese language skills.

We are pleased to invite you and your family to join us for a special online session on 8 June 2023, from 9:00am to 9:30am. During the session, Ms Olivia Ye, the Chinese Language Coordinator at MCHK will share information about our Chinese Language Learning and how we help pupils with different levels of Chinese to further develop the language. This session will be an excellent opportunity for parents to understand the Chinese Curriculum Pathways as part of our holistic education.
