2024 Harbor Foundation Nursing Scholarship Application

Transitioning from nursing school to a career in hospice care is a significant milestone for many students. However, the financial burden of higher education can be especially challenging. Recognizing the dedication and resilience of aspiring hospice nurses, the Harbor Foundation is proud to offer a Scholarship Program specifically designed to support nursing students entering this field. Eligible candidates are invited to share how their passion for hospice care has shaped their journey and aspirations. Through this scholarship opportunity we want to empower these dedicated individuals to continue their education and pursue their calling of providing comfort and support to patients and families in their final stages of life

Scholarship – 5 Awards, valued at $1,000.00 per scholarship paid to the institute, funded by the Harbor Foundation.

Eligibility

· Scholarships are limited to current nursing students pursuing a hospice career after graduation.

· Have not previously been awarded the Harbor Foundation Nursing Scholarship

· Attending college nursing program currently

· A current, complete transcript of grades. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades, and credit hours of last semester.

· Answer questions and share how your passion for hospice care has shaped your journey and aspirations.

· No candidate shall be denied being recipient of a scholarship on the basis of race, creed, sex, religion, national origin, or any other basis which is prohibited by Section 501 (C) (3) of The Internal Revenue Code.

Completed applications must be submitted no later than 11:59pm CST 5/1/2024. Applications time stamped after this date/time will not be considered.
