Wilderness Orientation Financial Assistance Application

We are excited to announce that for Wilderness Orientation (WO) 2020 we have $200 awards available for incoming UCSD students who are:

* First generation college students

* Students from low income families

* Non-Resident/Out of State status

* International student (F1/J1)

Please complete the online application to be considered for financial assistance. These are awarded on a rolling basis until the fund is depleted. Please apply early. Financial award funds can only be used to cover WO registration fees.

You must register and pay for Wilderness Orientation prior to applying for an award. Students who receive the award will be refunded $200 after completing WO and sharing a written reflection on the experience.

Students who apply for assistance but are not awarded it have the opportunity to cancel program enrollment and receive a 100% refund if cancellation occurs on or before August 1^st. The WO refund policy applies to cancellations made after this date.

Which WO trip have you registered and paid for (required)? *

You cannot submit a financial assistance application until you have registered and paid for a Wilderness Orientation trip. Please visit our website to register for a WO trip and then return to complete your application.

You cannot submit a financial assistance application for the selected trip because it is already subsidized by Recreation. If you have questions about this please reach out to the Wilderness Orientation office at 858-534-8211.
